Production Blog: Types of Angles

Today I am going to be talking about the types of angles I used. Close-up shots became a canvas for capturing the emotions and expressions of the protagonist. Like when he smiles during spontaneous moments. These intimate shots added a layer of relatability. Drawing the audience into the heart of the music video. I used POV shots. Like, when I was on the beach after it cut from showing the water rushing my feet it switched perspectives to the protagonist. Which allowed the audience to experience the warmth of the environment. It also captures the beauty of the natural environment. I also used tracking shots. I used tracking shots when I was at the mall. When I was looking at the clothing rack I used the tracking shot because it allowed the audience to experience what was going on like they were there themselves. I also used low-angle shots. I used low-angle shots when I was driving from the beach to the mall. I decided to use low-angle because it shows the importance of the protagonist driving. These types of shots allowed the audience to become submerged in the flow of the video. It also the viewers to become invested in the song and what's going to happen next.
