Title Research: The Reaping

 1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

  The titles displayed during the opening sequence include the producers, directors, editors, supervisors, designers, production company, actors, and finally the title of the movie. All of these are seen in the same red font, with emphasis on the title, The Reaping. All of these were displayed during a period of 2 minutes.
2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? 
  The images prioritized in the opening sequence all have the same effect as they are extreme close ups of different insects. These include frogs, locusts, flies, and blood in which the producer built his title sequence upon. 
3. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?
  From the beginning, the images give off a chilling feeling. The blood color of the titles seem to enhance this feeling. The audience expects this movie to send a horrifying message, solely based on the opening sequence. The background music is also very mysterious which adds on to the horror aspect as it creates suspense. In all, the outset establishes the genre, horror, with aid from the music, colors, and images.

   1. What elements (Conventions) of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?    M3GAN incorporates many elements that our group has chose to base our final task on. For one, it stars a lonely young girl, who seems to have lost everything. The movie seems to have the perfect amount of suspense, which will 100 percent be used in our project. Darker lighting was another thing that stood out during this movie, adding to the skeptical feeling of the audience. Filming Blog: Scenes 6-12

 Hey, blog I'm back. Today I filmed scenes 6-12. Today was my first day being on the other side of the camera. I was very excited and thrilled to be able to get some experience in being in a short film. My role is the killer/stalker of the protagonist. In the first scene, my character is in you see me lurking in the shadows as Rowyn is going on her run through the neighborhood. This scene was hard to film because it was hard to keep composure during this scene. But, we ended up filming this scene and moving on. I appear later on outside of Rowyn's window leaving a mark on her window. This scene was fun to film because we used fake blood and I had to submerge my hand in it. That was a weird experience but I'm glad I've been able to do things like that and try new things such as that. I was able to be very productive today because of collaboration with my group members.
