Filming Blog: Filming Scenes 4-5

Hey, blog I'm back and I'm going to be talking about filming scenes 4-5. Today I filmed scenes 4-5.  With limited time we were only able to complete 2 scenes. But we have been able to plan and figure out we should be able to finish our filming the next time we film. Even though we only filmed 2 scenes I believe this was our most successful day filming so far. I say that because we were able to work more cohesively as a group and we worked more efficiently.  In these scenes, I was the designated filmmaker because I had no screen time in those scenes. I have enjoyed being behind the camera and being able to take a more hands-on way of completing this final task. This has allowed me to gain more experience in being behind the camera.  We have planned it to where even though we have only filmed a little under half of the scenes we still have lots of time leftover for editing. This was key for us to do because it allowed us to have extra time to fall back on if we hadn't finished filming. In the scenes, I choreographed them and planned where everyone would be placed to make sure to capture every element in the scenes. This helped us to complete these scenes efficiently and quickly because of our short amount of time together. I play the role of the killer which hasn't been on screen yet, unfortunately. I hope by the next time we film I will be able to be on camera so I can gain more experience in front of the camera instead of behind it. Overall though the filming went smoothly and I have gotten to understand the importance of filming and how complicated it can get. But I believe this group can work together and we can put together a quality short film. We should be able to meet in the coming days to continue filming fingers crossed! Where we should be able to finish our filming. I will continue to you posted. See you soon blog!
