Production Blog: Starting Editing

 Hey Cambridge, I'm back. After all the scheduling chaos, missed days, and rushed shoots, we’ve finally made it to the editing stage. It feels weird not having to worry about scheduling but now we’ve entered a whole new challenge, piecing everything together. Editing for the first time, in a while, I expected a smooth process. We filmed almost everything, so now we just had to put it together. The first thing we did was watch the raw footage, and immediately, we spotted problems. An error with reflections of the camera. A shot where I blinked at the worst possible moment. Little mistakes we hadn’t noticed on set were now glaringly obvious. Since I started sorting through takes I tried to find the best ones. Sometimes, the "best" take performance wise had a technical issue, forcing us to compromise. It was frustrating but also really cool. Production Blog: Continuing Editing

 Hey Cambridge, I'm back. Editing is a lot slower than I expected. I thought by now we’d be close to finishing, but we’re still deep in the process, trying to get everything just right. Today, we focused on tuning some of the harder parts of the film. We’ve already done the first major cut, but now it’s all about fixing little details, tightening up scenes, adjusting pacing, and making sure the transitions don’t feel awkward. One of the biggest struggles has been cutting down certain scenes. Some shots we really loved just don’t fit anymore. Either they drag too long or mess with the film’s rhythm. It’s painful watching good moments get deleted, but we have to do what’s best for the story. We also ran into some unexpected problems. A few clips had weird audio issues like random static or background noise we didn’t notice before. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to clean it up. Production Blog: We Have An Issue

 Hey Cambridge, I'm back!! Today was supposed to be a smooth filming day, until an unexpected baseball game threw everything off. We arrived on set ready to shoot a crucial scene. Just as we were setting up, I got a notification. Apparently, my baseball game, which was originally scheduled for next week, had been moved to today due to a scheduling conflict at the field. None of us had any idea this was happening. Because this game was so important missing the game wasn’t an option. We quickly huddled to figure out if we could shoot around this, but the scene required myself for most of what we were filming. We considered filming smaller scenes which didn't include myself, but my partner was already set up for this specific sequence. Changing everything last-minute would waste time. The decision to cancel wasn’t easy. We had already spent time setting up equipment. We scrambled to adjust the schedule, but there was no way around it. So, we had to cancel today’s shoot.
