   1. What elements (Conventions) of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?    M3GAN incorporates many elements that our group has chose to base our final task on. For one, it stars a lonely young girl, who seems to have lost everything. The movie seems to have the perfect amount of suspense, which will 100 percent be used in our project. Darker lighting was another thing that stood out during this movie, adding to the skeptical feeling of the audience. Our final task will be heavily based on all of these conventions, which M3GAN seems to incorporate well.    2. Production Blog: We Have An Issue

 Hey Cambridge, I'm back!! Today was supposed to be a smooth filming day, until an unexpected baseball game threw everything off. We arrived on set ready to shoot a crucial scene. Just as we were setting up, I got a notification. Apparently, my baseball game, which was originally scheduled for next week, had been moved to today due to a scheduling conflict at the field. None of us had any idea this was happening. Because this game was so important missing the game wasn’t an option. We quickly huddled to figure out if we could shoot around this, but the scene required myself for most of what we were filming. We considered filming smaller scenes which didn't include myself, but my partner was already set up for this specific sequence. Changing everything last-minute would waste time. The decision to cancel wasn’t easy. We had already spent time setting up equipment. We scrambled to adjust the schedule, but there was no way around it. So, we had to cancel today’s shoot. Comparing 9, the short-film, and 9, the full-length movie

Short Film The short film "9" by Shane Acker is an excellent example of concise and visually-driven storytelling. It follows 9, as they navigate a post apocalyptic world that is dominated by deadly machines. The story is minimalist, relying on actions rather than words to convey 9’s bravery and resourcefulness. The film utilizes rusted machinery, in addition to decaying landscapes to create an eerie, atmospheric setting. Acker uses tight framing and muted colors to build tension and immerse the viewer in this desolate world. The short film’s conventions lean on non-verbal storytelling, atmosphere, and prioritizing visual artistry over narrative depth.
