 Hey Cambridge, I'm back again with another important update. After hours of tweaking, trimming, reshooting, and second-guessing, we can finally say that the editing process is done. It feels great. Just a little while ago, we were stressing over reshoots and sound issues, and now we have a fully edited short film sitting in front of us. Watching the final cut for the first time was exciting. Would everything flow the way we imagined? Would the pacing feel right? Would all those tiny fixes actually make a difference? The answer was yes.  The edits we struggled with for so long were finally coming together. The transitions felt smooth, the audio was clear, and the color correction made everything look polished. The music fit perfectly, setting the right tone in every scene.  Hey Cambridge, I'm back with another report. Just when we thought we were almost done, in editing we found out that we have to reshoot some scenes. It turns out, no matter how much we try to fix things in editing, some mistakes just can’t be hidden. A few shots had major audio issues that we didn’t catch on set. In one, the microphone cut out halfway through. In another, background noise completely messed with the dialogue. We tried cleaning it up, but it just sounded unnatural. Then there were other errors. One scene had a prop that randomly disappeared between shots, and now it looks dumb when we cut back and forth. Another had a lighting issue that made the color correction nearly impossible to fix. At first, the idea of reshooting was frustrating. We had already put so much time into filming, and now we had to go back and do some of it over?  Hey Cambridge, I'm back. Editing is a lot slower than I expected. I thought by now we’d be close to finishing, but we’re still deep in the process, trying to get everything just right. Today, we focused on tuning some of the harder parts of the film. We’ve already done the first major cut, but now it’s all about fixing little details, tightening up scenes, adjusting pacing, and making sure the transitions don’t feel awkward. One of the biggest struggles has been cutting down certain scenes. Some shots we really loved just don’t fit anymore. Either they drag too long or mess with the film’s rhythm. It’s painful watching good moments get deleted, but we have to do what’s best for the story. We also ran into some unexpected problems. A few clips had weird audio issues like random static or background noise we didn’t notice before. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to clean it up.  Hey Cambridge, I'm back. After all the scheduling chaos, missed days, and rushed shoots, we’ve finally made it to the editing stage. It feels weird not having to worry about scheduling but now we’ve entered a whole new challenge, piecing everything together. Editing for the first time, in a while, I expected a smooth process. We filmed almost everything, so now we just had to put it together. The first thing we did was watch the raw footage, and immediately, we spotted problems. An error with reflections of the camera. A shot where I blinked at the worst possible moment. Little mistakes we hadn’t noticed on set were now glaringly obvious. Since I started sorting through takes I tried to find the best ones. Sometimes, the "best" take performance wise had a technical issue, forcing us to compromise. It was frustrating but also really cool.  Hey Cambridge, Im back. When I met up with my partner today, I could already feel the tension. After missing another filming day because of a rescheduled baseball game, I knew I had to prove I was fully committed to this project. She joked as soon as I arrived. Where she said " look who decided to come". I couldn’t even be mad, it was fair considering I've already missed 2 filming times. Before we started, I made sure to apologize again. I knew she was stressed about staying on schedule, and I didn’t want them thinking I didn’t care. She had to make sure that we were on time because she has her tech week coming up with her play. As soon as we started filming, I pushed everything else out of my head. No distractions. No outside commitments. Just the short film.  Hey Cambridge, I'm back. I cannot believe this happened again. Just when we had finally gotten back on track, another scheduling conflict messed everything up again. This time, it was because of the weather. Our game from last week got rained out, and the rescheduled date just so happened to land right on today’s filming. I didn’t even realize it until my coach sent a reminder this morning. As soon as I saw the message. I knew exactly what this meant. I had to tell the group that I wouldn’t be able to make it. Last time, they had been frustrated but understanding. This time I didn't know what would happen. When I told my partner, she starting laughing and insisted I was joking. I shook my head. No joke. Just terrible luck. She immediately checked the schedule to see if there was anything we could do without me. Just like before, the answer was no. Hey Cambridge, I'm back Again!!  Coming back to film I felt a mix of excitement and guilt. After my unexpected baseball game caused us to cancel the last filming day, I knew I had to be locked in both literally and figuratively. My partner seemed good, but I could tell she was frustrated. I didn’t blame her. Our schedule was already tight, and losing a whole day had put extra pressure on everyone. Before we started, I made sure to apologize to her. I promised her I’d stay late if needed to make up for lost time. Once filming finally resumed, I focused on getting into character as fast as possible. It was very obvious that we were working with extra urgency, trying to make up for what we missed. Despite the stress, the energy filming was great. Everyone was more focused than ever, and I think the break actually helped her recharge. Everyone seemed more confident in how they wanted the scene to play out.  Hey Cambridge, I'm back!! Today was supposed to be a smooth filming day, until an unexpected baseball game threw everything off. We arrived on set ready to shoot a crucial scene. Just as we were setting up, I got a notification. Apparently, my baseball game, which was originally scheduled for next week, had been moved to today due to a scheduling conflict at the field. None of us had any idea this was happening. Because this game was so important missing the game wasn’t an option. We quickly huddled to figure out if we could shoot around this, but the scene required myself for most of what we were filming. We considered filming smaller scenes which didn't include myself, but my partner was already set up for this specific sequence. Changing everything last-minute would waste time. The decision to cancel wasn’t easy. We had already spent time setting up equipment. We scrambled to adjust the schedule, but there was no way around it. So, we had to cancel today’s shoot.   What's up blog I'm back and ready to resume talking about my final task. Today I filmed some scenes with my partner.  I was assigned the role of filming. When filming started we were struggling. The group had to continue to redo the scenes because of procrastinating. This made the filming process longer than expected. But eventually, we stopped and focused on the tasks at hand. I began to start the final shootings for these scenes. I have to come to enjoy being behind the camera. Filming the scene and having control of the angle and different types of shots was cooler than I expected. Although I only filmed the some of the scenes, it was good to get a feel for what is to come in the future. From what I have filmed it seems that this short film is on its way to becoming a very good project. I hope as we progress I will be able to take more of a leadership role and make sure the group is on task and proficient in time management. Including myself I need to check myself so...

 Hey, Cambridge it's been a minute.`I am excited to tell you that we have begun to start our final task. Over the past couple of days, we have been trying to plan between our schedules. Between sports, jobs, and our studies finding a time to meet has been a struggle. I have been in charge of planning where we would be filming. Starting a project of this scale is very familar to me because of my experience last year with this class. Having to coordinate with my new partner has been a new challenge. In this process, I've carefully selected my team member. Ensuring they are supportive and willing to assist me whenever I encounter difficulties. We've decided to shoot the majority of the movie within a week. Allowing us to dedicate ample time to video editing. This can also help us if we have to do reshoots of certain parts of the video.
